At last week’s TAC Conference and Exhibition, T2 Utility Engineers had the honor of sponsoring the 𝑺𝒖𝒃𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑼𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 (𝑺𝑼𝑬) 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 workshop. Moderated by Ophir Wainer, this well attended session provided educational insights for municipal staff and consultants on how to reference SUE in procurement documents and review SUE deliverables to meet required standards. A key part of the discussion included the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) documents: ASCE 38, ASCE 75, and SUE for Municipalities. The workshop was organized by Ophir through the TAC Utility Management Subcommittee. Special thanks to everyone who attended, including James Anspach (pictured), who made the trip north to attend the conference! #SUEforMunicipalities #ASCE38 #TAC2024 #TAC #ASCE75

Fun to see Kiwa's name all around the world. Even in the Arctic Circle!
During my recent trip to the Arctic Circle, while aboard a ferry outside Tromsø, Norway, I came across something that hit close to home – a Kiwa certification proudly displayed onboard. As part of T2 Utility Engineers, with Kiwa as our parent company, it was great to see their global reach, even in such a remote location. Seeing this certification in the far north serves as a reminder of Kiwa’s commitment to quality and safety worldwide, in all kinds of environments. It’s exciting to be part of a team that shares these values, ensuring high standards wherever we go! #ArcticCircle #Tromsø #KIWA #T2UtilityEngineers #Quality #Safety #EngineeringExcellence

We’re identifying ways to quantify and reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our business. As part of this effort, T2ue is pleased to have begun incorporating hybrid trucks and SUVs into our fleet. According to Consumer Reports hybrid vehicles reduce GHG emissions by about 25-30% over traditional combustion engine vehicles. With our large fleet and extensive fieldwork across the US and Canada this adds up to material reductions in fleet emissions over time. We are committed to engaging with our social and environmental obligations and have established an internal “Green Team” to further this goal. Their efforts to categorize and quantify our footprint allow us to begin taking strategic steps towards reduction, and we’re especially proud to turn our commitment to this into meaningful action. #T2ue #GreenTeam #Environment #CSR

Contact us to discuss this important topic.
Blaine Hunt, Professional Engineer at T2 Utility Engineers (a member of the Kiwa group), recently presented a thought-provoking session on the expanding role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) at the 2024 UESI Pipelines Conference in Calgary. During the conference Blaine explored how AI is transforming the engineering field and addressed crucial topics like safety, risk, ethics, and the evolving duties of engineers. From the need for transparency in AI usage to the verification of AI-generated data quality, Blaine also explored key considerations for engineers navigating this evolving landscape.
