Our client, a world leader in the steel abrasive industry for more than 60 years and a world-leading service partner has a current opportunity for an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller is focused on understanding the impact of operational decision-making on accounting and working with the Controller to communicate the effects to the broader team. Further, the individual in this role will be a roll-up-your-sleeves self-starter who can simplify processes and provide structure, controls, and guidelines to assist the accounting team. This role will be instrumental in understanding plant operations (inventory, counts, WIP, processes) and their impact on financial results. Further, this role will own and make cost-accounting and intercompany entries and be involved in other full-cycle accounting entries and reconciliations.
