The disability flag highlights the many types of disabilities that are often overlooked. 🟢 - Green represents sensory disabilities like deafness or blindness. 🔵 - Blue stands for emotional and psychiatric conditions. ⚪️ - White acknowledges invisible disabilities and those without diagnoses. 🟡 - Gold recognizes neurodiversity. 🔴 - Red symbolizes physical disabilities. All of these experiences deserve to be recognized and embraced. At As Told By Anya Ltd., we aim to amplify marginalized voices and promote inclusion for people of all abilities. As recipients of the 2024 RAISE Grant, we are committed to amplifying marginalized voices and uplifting BIPOC communities. What better way to start than by supporting the incredible work of the International House of Mulan 💮 and their mission to excel members of our 2SLGBTQ+ community through artistic expression, mental wellness programs, and outreach? The ballroom community has always been a refuge for LGBTQ2S+ youth, providing a safe space for self-expression. The underground ballroom scene has historically provided a safe space for Black and Brown queer folks to find family and celebrate their sexuality when society shut them out. We are in awe of how ballroom continues to uplift so many today through competitions, trophies, and community fostering. 📣 We’ve been blessed with fantastic news! 🙌🏾 As Told By Anya Ltd. is proud to announce that we are a recipient of the 2024 Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (RAISE) Grant Program! This grant will allow us to take our mission of empowering marginalized voices to new heights. Over the next few months, we will be: • Completely overhauling and optimizing our website for improved accessibility 🌐 • Hiring a social media manager to help us reach even more people worldwide 📱 • Hosting a series of community events centred around uplifting BIPOC narratives 🎉 We’re thrilled to use this funding to amplify underrepresented voices and enact positive change.
