The Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) is a multi-stakeholder council that brings leadership together to create and champion solutions to better integrate skilled immigrants in the Toronto Region labour market. We help employers and immigrants find solutions. We connect companies to programs that can help them better recruit and retain immigrants; we develop and distribute learning tools and curriculum; and we help immigrants build their professional connections through mentoring and professional immigrant networks.

Yesterday we hosted the TRIEC Mentoring Partnership (TMP) Summer Mentor and Mentee Networking Event, centered around the theme "Building Bridges, One Connection at a Time.” This virtual gathering was more than just an event—it was a platform to fostering meaningful connections, exchange valuable insights, and strengthen our vibrant TMP community. Together, mentors and mentees engaged in learning, growth, and building lasting relationships that empower each other. Since its inception, TMP has been a cornerstone in supporting newcomers to Canada. By connecting them with established professionals, TMP offers the critical guidance and networking opportunities needed to successfully navigate the Canadian job market. With over 25,000 mentoring matches to date, the impact of this program is truly profound.
