Founded in 1930, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada is the only national organization representing the full cross-section of Canada's $105 billion tourism industry. TIAC's members include air and passenger rail services, airport authorities, local and provincial destination authorities, hotels, attractions and tour operators. TIAC is responsible for representing tourism interests at the national level, and its advocacy work involves promoting and supporting policies, programs and activities that will benefit the sector's growth and development. About our Membership TIAC's membership reflects partnerships among all sectors of the industry, enabling the association to address the full range of issues facing Canadian tourism. TIAC's membership is as diverse as our country itself. The International Convention Attraction Fund (ICAF) has successfully secured 21 major international conferences for Canada, projected to contribute up to $122 million to the Canadian economy. To continue building on this success, TIAC is recommending a two-year extension to ICAF funding. This extension will build on the incredible work ICAF has done, attract more high-impact events, and further elevate Canada as a leading destination for international business.
