Energy is precious, especially on difficult days. Instead of focusing on things out of your control, take a deep breath, and let go. 🌿💜 Save your energy for the things that truly matter. You don’t have to carry everything on your shoulders. Sometimes acceptance is the best path forward. 🌸 #EnergyManagement #PositiveMindset #MentalWellness #MindfulLiving

What to do when work and life become overwhelming! You're working overtime, a family member gets sick, and you're constantly traveling for work. ✅ poor sleep ✅ no exercise ✅ unhealthy food ✅ stress At some point, we can all relate to being overwhelmed with life and sacrificing our physical and mental health. This rollercoaster of stress and poor health, can slow us down or even set us back. But, there is a way to MASTER these challenging times, so we stay healthy, productive, and even come out with a little more resilience. It all starts with Plan B! Plan B is having a plan when sh*t hit the fan and your life feels out of control. 😱 The SECRET: Plan B is all about mastering the basics from all directions in life. In fact, mastering the basics is what turns athletes into Olympians and leaders into legacies. 🏆 ————————— 5 Tips that will IMPROVE YOUR LIFE when stress hits! (This is the foundation of my Plan B.) Quality Sleep - Create a sleep checklist Have room temperature set to 65 degrees. Use eye covers and earplugs. Stick to an evening routine, plan your next day, and maintain a consistent bedtime. Get Exercise - Something is better than nothing! Exercise first thing in the morning as a non-negotiable. Work with a trainer to create a 15-20 min workout that requires no equipment. Travel with a TRX or bands. Proper Nutrition - Plan, prepare, delegate Have a refrigerator put in your hotel room. Order groceries to be delivered when you get to the hotel or life gets crazy. You can also order from a local food prep to always have a quick, healthy meal. And carry 3 nutritious snacks with you. Reduce Stress - Easy techniques, be consistent Have a 5-10 minute afternoon and evening routine that incorporates mindfulness, breathing techniques, or being immersed in nature. Practice these when life is calm, so it becomes easy when life gets stressful. Say NO!: Protect your time and sanity When life gets overwhelming, you need to prioritize yourself and say "NO!" to any unnecessary opportunities. Focus on the essentials and dismiss all other distractions. *It is critical that you create, test, and write out your plan B before you need it. Practice makes perfect! We’d like to welcome Jonni Shreve to Ultra Violet Foundation as our exercise lead and committee member. His YouTube channel exceeds 500,000 followers and he has began an acting career starring in “Kids vs Aliens” and most recent “The Trades” on crave, which is scheduled for 2024. Jonni has always been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction, and is an advocate for men’s mental health. When Jonni Shreve finished his collegiate football career, he wasn’t sure what he was going to do next. Some dark days followed his retirement from football. However, he had multiple friends who were bodybuilders, and at their insistence, he decided to do his first show. As soon as the last game of the season was over, he started prepping – and he never looked back. Today, Jonni is an IFBB Pro with over 15 shows under his belt. His most memorable show was the 2017 Canadian Nationals where he won overall Super Heavy Weight and Best Poser to claim the title of Mr. Canada. “It was the 150th birthday of Canada on Canada Day,” says Jonni. “It was the perfect day!” When he’s not in the gym, Jonni enjoys playing the piano with his daughter, Selena. It’s only one of seven instruments he knows how to play. #mensmentalhealth #menshealth #mensmentalhealthawareness #mensmentalhealthmatters #stigmafree #exercise #fitness #activeliving #personaltrainer #mentalhealthadvocate #actor #addictionrecovery #youtuber #youtube #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #fitnesscoach #standup

Candace Legault, BSc. has over 10 years of business development experience in the environmental industry, working with diverse teams in an often high-pressure and collaborative environment. Over the years, Candace has worked hard to develop relationships with clients and gain an understanding of how we can thrive in our roles, companies, and overall life.
