We love this recent Au Arts Reception area update! 💡 One of the most notable features is a 13x10 vinyl wall graphic that presides over the space by showing imagery of a creative artistic process. Multiple samples were tested on opaque vinyl to achieve the perfect results, before installing the graphic panels as a seamless mural. The university’s logo was also applied to the reception desk as a vinyl graphic. Another major change is the dimensional welcome signage, featuring AU Art’s signature red. Each letter was made from clear acrylic using our CNC flatbed laser before receiving coats of colour-matched paint. The letters were mounted to aluminum hardware, securely suspended from the reception area canopy beams. Through subtle yet impactful adjustments, the reception area has transformed into an enlivened branded space, complete with intuitive wayfinding signage. We are thrilled to see The Calgary Stampede's Sam Centre open its doors to the public! We’re not just celebrating our achievement of producing hundreds of display elements for this exhibition space, but also the efforts of a large community in materializing this vision. It’s been an exciting collaboration with GSM Project to bring these exhibits to life, along with countless other talented professionals to manifest this space. When Exhibit Studio launched 17 years ago in a small 2500 square foot space with just 4 people, we could have never imagined being a part of a project like the Sam Centre. We are continuously amazed by our team’s talent and hard work to make amazing things happen! Buckle up Calgary for the grand opening of The Calgary Stampede's Sam Centre in Stampede Park on May 29! 🤠🐴 🎉 Our team was honoured to be entrusted with fabricating the displays for this state-of-the-art facility, ranging from exhibit cases and graphics panels to 3D signage, vinyl wall murals, and other artistic dimensional installations. Exhibit Studio Ltd + Westwind Design are delighted with how this sign turned out for Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary! Made for the visitor centre located off of Bow Bottom Trail, we collaborated with a team of professionals to produce this welcoming dimensional signage. You can find it out front of the Field of Fame 7 monument, which we also had the pleasure of working on last year for the Alberta Champions Society. The sign was fabricated using a ventilated facade that prevents heat or moisture accumulation in a beautiful red cedar colour. Its low maintenance design is built to withstand all sorts of outdoor conditions, and harmonizes with the outdoor surroundings. Fasteners and other hardware were also carefully sourced to blend in and create a seamless look. The contrasting material of the letters was fabricated from 3/8” brushed aluminum letters using our CNC flatbed laser. This sign will welcome visitors into the area for years to come, while also drawing attention towards the neighbouring AB Champions monument. Another bold and dynamic showroom that we completed for Mitten Siding at their Ottawa location 🛠 This project covered concept development for the floor plan layout, elevation designs for the multi-height displays, and refining drawings for the architects & engineering. Our team fabricated and installed all of the project elements over the summer. The entry wall displays include a corporate branded wall with a 50” monitor connected to push-button interactive devices to play multiple videos. The wall also features acrylic letters and logos, with a rear-print photo display. Acoustic felt hexagon panels were used throughout multiple displays to create dimension. Multiple freestanding displays were designed and built to showcase the company’s products, including windows, doors and siding. The 10’ window wall displays ensured that the weight was evenly distributed with the layout. These walls were created by building an inner framing system with window jamb depths for the projects to be inserted. This was concealed with a 1/2” MDF covering, with the Mitten siding applied to the outside. Sample panels along the showroom walls were constructed from 1/4” acrylic and mounted to a sturdy aluminum composite material box. The lettering was constructed from contour-cut vinyl. The stunning island was custom-built, using a material called Meganite for the countertop and cabinet doors. The framing and interior were constructed from plywood and melamine with custom cabinetry storage solutions. The island creates a space to bring out different samples and products for customers to browse. We love how this bright, versatile space turned out to give customers a pleasant experience that highlights Mitten’s products in a functional and attractive way. Christmas arrived a little early for us this year! 🎅🎁 This summer we took down our exterior sign when the building complex was getting a fresh coat of paint. We finally put up our new one, which includes our company's Westwind Design Group division. The sign was designed, built, and installed in-house by our talented team. Outdoor signage for Fort McMurray 468 First Nation at their urban office in Edmonton. Earlier this year we worked with CMR Consulting Inc. on the interior graphics, and are excited to see the final pieces go up! The signage above the front doors was constructed from white ACM (aluminum composite material) for the background. The letters and logo are high-gloss painted aluminum. The roadside sign for the building complex was produced from direct-printed ACM. #yeg #yegdesign #customfabrication
