There’s an undeniable power in finding a community where you truly belong. Over the past 10 years of building WNORTH, I’ve been privileged to hear countless stories from members about how they’ve found not only close friendships, but also business connections, mentors, and even new career opportunities through our network. If you’ve been considering joining WNORTH, now is the perfect time! This week, we have opened applications for the 18th Cohort of the #WNORTH Forum Program inside the Membership Portal. I founded the WNORTH Forums back in 2018, inspired by CEO groups like YPO and Entrepreneur Organization, to create a space for our members to regularly connect with 6-7 other professionals, led by an executive coach/facilitator in an intimate and accessible virtual setting. This program has been a key benefit of our Annual Membership ever since, and members can participate in up to three cohorts per year! The WNORTH Forums are designed for women on the path to Senior Executive Leadership or Scaling Entrepreneurs, providing a dedicated space to tackle challenges, share insights, and achieve significant milestones together. If you’re interested in learning more about the WNORTH Forums, you can find more details here: https://lnkd.in/gcQQtM34 If you are interested in learning more about our membership community, you can explore details here: https://lnkd.in/e3_xAxw I’d love to see you join our growing community!

We dove into the topic of what a powerful force a strong community can be in creating a social impact with: 🌟 Cate Luzio - Founder & CEO, Luminary 🌟 Ja'Nay Hawkins - Chief Partnerships Officer, MAKERS Women 🌟 Heather Odendaal - Founder & CEO, WNORTH Moderated by Rupal Parikh, Global Head of Presales, SAP, New York City Chapter Director, WNORTH Then Kathleen Davis, Deputy Editor at Fast Company, shared an intimate fireside chat with Martha Pease, Growth Champion and Brand Builder and former Victoria’s Secret & Co. We'd like to take a moment to thank our members, speakers, sponsors (foode and Fabrik) and community for the support with this very memorable morning. The last few weeks have been a time of transition for #workingparents, today is my children’s first day back at school. They will be at school for one whole hour today, 8:30-9:30am. If you are a leader with parents on your team, please give them grace and the flexibility they need to get through the transition of "back to school" and on top of funny schedules, school-aged children can sometimes also deal with increased anxiety during this time leading to poor behaviour and high emotions. New routines to get used to and in many cases, after care programs that don’t start until weeks after the first day of school. There are also the parents who have just dropped their adult children off at University for the very first time, where both are going through a completely new set of emotions that come with these students being in a new city, or in the case of some parents, becoming empty nesters. Then there are the parents of young children, not yet school aged, who are navigating the muddy waters of inadequate childcare. They may have got by over the summer with a combination of camps, family support and vacation time, but September is a stark reminder for many of the challenges the system provides working parents on a daily basis. ❓Why is it that the school day is 8:30-2:30pm and the work day is 9:00am-5:00pm? ❓Why are professional roles that work 20-32 hours a week near impossible to find? ❗️There are 75% less remote roles posted now that 3 years ago, even when we know some industries work and produce highly productive results ❗️Despite multiple efforts by fantastic organizations, Corporate North America seems to refuse the prospect of Roleshares/Job Shares wherein two part-time professionals share a full time role. ⁉️ When will we prioritize the FULL participation of working parents (women AND men) by providing the appropriate support structures and working options? As I enter the 10th year of work in the space of supporting working women through my organization WNORTH, I am motivated to continue to support and show up for working parents. I’m looking for organizations who either would like to show up for the working parents in their organization or support in a greater capacity for working parents across Canada. DM me if you would like to get involved.
