About us

Women in Engineering strives to help Concordia's female engineering students gain academic and financial support, while encouraging their involvement in various competitive teams and social events. We endeavor to provide a nurturing atmosphere that will foster the growth of our members’ professional, academic, leadership and social skills. We also have an active outreach program, which is dedicated to increasing the participation of women in the field of engineering by promoting engineering to women and girls of all ages, through activities at elementary, high schools and CEGEPs in Montreal. 2022-2023 Executive Team: President: Marissa Profetto (She/Her) VP Ambassador: Selena Mezher (She/Her) VP Internal: Alexandra McMullin (She/Her) VP Finance: Ikram Dinaoui (She/Her) VP Events: Christina Strutynski Director Social: Yasmin Saade (She/Her) Director Academic: Meilani Sinnathamby (She/Her) Co-VP Outreach: Rania Alioueche (She/Her) Co-VP Outreach: Sonia Singh (She/Her) Director Elementary: Lily Creaghan (She/Her) Director High School: Chaaron Nahar (She/Her) Director Mentorship: Alexandra Gelastopoulos (She/her) VP External : Abia Khan (She/her)

  • Happy International Women’s Day! ⭐️ Empowered women empower the world. On this day, and everyday, WIE is empowered by the extraordinary women and girls across the globe. We are inspired by the astronaut Mae Jemison, who said, “Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination.” 👏 Women in Engineering celebrates the limitless possibilities and imagination of women in STEM on International Women’s Day.
