Throughout March, we’re proud to highlight the incredible #WomenOfWSP who are shaping a better future. Meet Sue Longo, a #WSPVisioneer whose work is making a lasting impact on both communities and the environment. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, Sue thrives on solving complex challenges, especially in dewatering and mine rehabilitation. Her most rewarding projects have focused on eliminating physical mine hazards across Canada, restoring historic sites to protect people, wildlife, and ecosystems for generations to come. For Sue, innovation isn’t just about pushing boundaries, it’s about creating solutions that leave a lasting, positive legacy. 

During the month of March, we are celebrating inspiring #WomenOfWSP like Myriam Beauchemin, who has been recognized as a Top Woman in Safety 2025 by Canadian Occupational Safety. A true leader in health, safety, and environment (HSE), Myriam is dedicated to creating simpler, more effective safety processes that protect our people and strengthen our collective HSE identity. Her guidance empowers employees and People Leaders alike, making safety not just a priority but an undisputable core value at WSP. #WSPVisioneers 

We are proud to have had a strong presence at the SMR Canada Summit, a key platform for educating and driving the future of nuclear energy in Western Canada. Our Executive VP Earth & Environment Corey McNair, along with several other WSP leaders, engaged in inspiring conversations and shared bold ideas for advancing the responsible growth of nuclear energy in the region. A highlight was the insightful discussion between Corey and Alberta MLA Chantelle de Jonge, Parliamentary Secretary for Utilities and Affordability, about building a sustainable and competitive nuclear industry. Together, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and energy solutions to create a stronger, more sustainable future.

After severe flooding damaged the Narcosli Creek Bridge and road in 2018, our team rose to the challenge and delivered a climate-resilient, long-lasting bridge designed to withstand extreme weather. With innovative solutions, we prioritized sustainability, resilience, and community safety at every stage. Congratulations to our team on winning the 2025 Award of Excellence from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada (ACEC-Canada) for this outstanding achievement! Our team joined industry leaders at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Sustainable Communities Conference for critical discussions on biodiversity, energy solutions and infrastructure planning. Our very own Anna Robak, Executive Director, Research & Innovation, highlighted how engineers, scientists, and planners drive innovation to build resilient communities.
