A common misconception is that fire protection requirements are solely necessary in buildings with hazardous or dangerous materials. However, buildings that lack flammable or explosive materials (aka unclassified buildings) still carry a high risk of fire due to unexpected hazards. In this blog, Global Fire / Process Safety Engineering Lead, Sahar Dorosti, P.Eng, MSc. discusses how all buildings have fire risk and why compliance with regulations and standards for fire protection measures in unclassified buildings are an absolute necessity. Pioneering. It’s a word reminiscent of bygone days when toiling the earth for improved existence drove changes in human behavior. In today’s energy transition, the same reference is appropriate once again, aptly describing the first-of-a-kind projects emerging in response to the need for clean energy solutions. Nemaska Lithium is leading the charge in North America—constructing the first large-scale mine, concentrator, and spodumene-to-lithium hydroxide refinery with a capacity of 32,000 tonnes per annum of final product. Discover how we have been involved with this project from the very start, executing on a vast scale with an inclusive team approach that, at peak, includes 400 experts from 39 of our offices worldwide. https://lnkd.in/g29v2dUy #HatchPerformanceInnovations #ProjectDelivery #PositiveChange

Hot off the press! 📢     We are thrilled to announce our involvement in the East Harbour Transit Hub (EHTH) project in Toronto. As part of a joint venture, we are providing design, engineering, and architectural services for this transformative project.    The EHTH will significantly enhance regional connectivity by providing access to GO trains, the future Ontario Line subway, and enable a future TTC streetcar extension in one location, making it a key transit node in one of Canada's largest Transit Oriented Communities.    Our role includes project management, architectural design, detailed engineering, and construction design support services. This collaborative alliance model ensures we deliver world-class infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the community.    With the forecasted regional growth and the planned GO Expansion and Ontario Line projects, EHTH will be one of the busiest and most significant stations in Metrolinx’s transit network. We are proud to contribute to a project that will reshape how we move through Toronto and beyond.    Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make strides in enhancing Toronto's transit options!
