Our friends from ATCO spent last week with us during their ATCO EPIC: Employees Participating in Communities initiative. They built food hampers, sorted non-perishable items and folded donation bags that will be mailed out for our 2024 Holiday Food Drive! For the past month our friends from the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church have been collecting donations of clothing and non-perishable food as part of the worldwide Care for Humanity program. The clothing was donated elsewhere and WE were the gracious recipients of the food! There was SO much food collected that we had to send another truck! In total they collected 5,666 kg! We welcomed friends from Randstad Canada for a recent volunteer shift where they helped us build hampers. DID YOU KNOW we send food hampers out to over 80 food depot locations around the city? Most of our Management team attended the annual Harvest Luncheon with Edmonton’s Food Bank. The time we spent together was insightful and inspiring. Thank you Meltem den Heyer for bringing us together for this! Olympic Gold Medalist and Motivational Speaker, Lori-Ann Muenzer, OLY shared such amazing stories about her life and accomplishments while using mindset to overcome obstacles. We were thrilled to welcome Sherri and Donovan from Taste of Edmonton and Tim and Kelly from Court Jester Dueling Pianos to our Harvest Luncheon this week. They presented us a cheque for $15,582.94 from funds raised during the 2024 Taste of Edmonton!
