Thank you, Manitoba! Last week we took our show on the road and did back-to-back speaking gigs in beautiful downtown Winnipeg. Thanks to Tech Thursday, Paul Card and Manitoba Technology Accelerator for having me on your panel to talk about UX (and a little UI). Great to see such a huge turnout (maybe it was the beer) of people interested in intersection of Design & Tech. Great work, Ryan FitzGerald, Richard Bennett and Kevin Guenther, UXC. I was happy to have been a small part of a bigger discussion with vets like yourselves. Just wish I had more time afterwards to debate which Ninja Turtle is the best. On Friday, Kelly Fournel, Shaelynn Stimpson and Tech Manitoba invited us to give our Leading with Design presentation at Winnipeg Art Gallery to some of their members. Thanks to the attendees, who tolerated 60 minutes of my shrill voice, on a Friday. Hoping it sparked a new way of approaching projects differently in your organization (unless you’re currently knocking it out of the park, then ignore everything I said). Remember, if there’s one thing to take away from my talk, “We must work really really hard, so our users don’t have to.” It was great meeting so many new faces that make up the Manitoba tech scene. I predict that we’ll be back sooner than later. #techmanitoba #TechThursday  #UIUX  #DesignThinking
