    "You don't get a second chance at first-chance opportunities." When Avery Ward took over the family business at Little Italy Ristorante in 2018, all of their processes were manual. He was working 7 days a week (often open to close) and missing important life events. "I was burning that candle at both ends", he says. Using his tech background, he began automating processes with technology—starting with a POS system and 7shifts for scheduling.     Last week, 7shifts attended FSTEC hosted by Informa Connect. This is one of the best restaurant technology shows I've attended as a technology partner. We had the opportunity to engage with hundreds of operators across the industry. There are a few themes that continue to stay at the forefront of our discussions around labor management and team management. 📱 GMs need real time access to data to effectively run their businesses. It needs to be mobile friendly and accessible anywhere on the go. 🤖 Utilizing AI to save inefficient processes is expected. We've been leaders in that with our sales forecasting and optimal labor tool the past couple of years. 💼 Managing the increasing laws that are being passed is difficult and operators need a reliable system they can trust to keep their teams compliant without constant attention. We hired 2 new Midmarket Account Executives last quarter, Haley Sichel and Kelsey (Cunniff) Fazio and they did a fantastic job speaking about all 7shifts capabilities and connected with over 50 executives during the show. I'm excited to see the continued growth of our Midmarket & Enterprise team at 7shifts.
