We actively reduce the emissions of our products and do not use compensation programs. We therefore no longer label products as "climate neutral". Our aim is to reduce CO2 emissions directly in production. For Earth Day 2024, we launched the new ZWILLING Pro knife block made of environmentally friendly steel in Europe! Our goal is to switch the entire ZWILLING PRO series to the low-emission Outokumpu Circle Green ® stainless steel and thus halve the CO2 footprint per knife. ZWILLING - We Care.

In 2023 we have made great progress in FSC® certification! ZWILLING now offers FSC-certified knife blocks in Germany (License code: FSC®-C-182665). After the certification of our locations in Germany, the USA and India, Great Britain and Scandinavia followed. The FSC label stands for responsible forest management worldwide. ZWILLING - We Care.

2023 was a significant year for us at ZWILLING! We have achieved significant CO2 savings by increasing the use of green and solar power at our sites. This year, we are planning additional photovoltaic system installations at DEMEYERE in Belgium and at ZWILLING in Japan and India. ZWILLING - We Care.

STAUB cocottes are durable and are often passed down from generation to generation. The STAUB cocotte is particularly popular in Japan. ZWILLING Japan offers a second-life program: Old cocottes can be sent back to receive vouchers for new products. Switch on energy savings. From Solingen to the world. Saving energy, one switch at a time! In our mission to reduce carbon footprint, we've analyzed the electricity consumption at our Solingen (Germany) forging plant. Knives that are sold worldwide are being produced here. By optimizing shutdown processes outside production hours, we can save about 100,000 kWh per year! And that‘s not all: Our production sites all over the world consider and implement this initiative as well.
