The leadership of ACT Alliance, the World Council of Churches and Caritas Internationalis had planned a solidarity visit to Jerusalem, the West Bank, and #Gaza from 5-9 of August to witness the humanitarian, psychological and social impact of the ongoing war. However, recent events in the region have forced the organisations to postpone their travels. Our General Secretary Rudelmar Bueno de Faria (He/his) participated in a two-day digital solidarity visit that was organised to show support to our members, churches, doctors, humanitarians and residents who are facing the devastating impacts of the war. In a meeting with medical doctors, Rudelmar said, "We are deeply distressed by the hardships of the medical doctors and residents of #Gaza and stand in solidarity with them. We are particularly concerned with their limited access to essential medical services and medicines, the environmental degradation, and the emergence of new diseases. We urgently call for a #ceasefire." #humanitarian access, and justice for Gaza,

New ACT Ukraine Forum Convenor Andrij Waskowycz, appointed this July, faces troubling times in Kyiv post the Okhmatdyt hospital attack, donor fatigue, economic pressures, and shifting global priorities. With the demand for aid rising and the ongoing war, he believes increased advocacy efforts and collaboration with local partners are key for maximizing impact and facing the current challenges. "These challenges and topics concern all members of the ACT Alliance Ukraine Forum, and it is their joint responsibility to discuss these topics and find proper solutions to these difficult questions.
