  • Today, in celebration of International Day of Forests, the Audemars Piguet Foundations had the pleasure of welcoming Charlotte MEYRUEIS, Director of Coeur de Forêt, to Le Brassus, Switzerland. Charlotte shared insights with Audemars Piguet’s employees about the impactful work her organisation is carrying out in Indonesia, in collaboration with the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees. Launched in 2014, the NGO’s “Forest restoration and preservation on the island of Flores, Indonesia” initiative focuses on preserving existing forest areas while supporting the development of income-generating activities for local farmers. Each year, the project includes programmes aimed at raising awareness among the local population, providing support to local producers, and creating fair trade channels (such as vanilla, essential oils, etc.). Additionally, the initiative runs planting campaigns in villages to reforest degraded hills, protect water sources, and promote the diversity of agro-ecological crops. Between 2016 and 2022, over 190 hectares of forest, affected by recurring fires, were replanted using direct seeding with more than 20 species, along with 340,000 macro-cuttings of 𝐺𝑙𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑖𝑎 𝑠𝑒𝑝𝑖𝑢𝑚. In February, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the PPI - Programme de Petites Initiatives (Small-Scale Initiatives Programme) of the Comité français de l'UICN (IUCN French Committee) and the conclusion of its sixth edition, over 80 partners, including the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees and its past and present grantees IGH - Itombwe Génération pour l’Humanité (DRC), Mbou-Mon-Tour (DRC), Associação Projecto Vitó (Cape Verde) and CREDI-ONG BENIN (Benin), gathered in Toubacouta, at the heart of the Biosphere Reserve of the Saloum Delta, Senegal, for the second edition of the PPI Exchange Forum. Since its inception, the PPI has supported 305 projects across 28 African countries, established over 500,000 hectares of community-protected areas, improved the conservation of 25 endangered species, and launched 146 new initiatives. We are proud to act as a catalyst for these exceptional projects by providing ongoing support to organisations even after they complete the programme. • On World Wildlife Day, we are reminded of the vital importance of our connection to nature and the need for harmonious cohabitation with the planet. Our relationship with the environment is not just about conservation; it’s about ensuring the survival of the unique species we share this world with. One such species is the greater bamboo lemur, a critically endangered primate endemic to Madagascar. With fewer than 500 individuals remaining, this remarkable lemur is at risk of disappearing forever. The French Association for the Conservation of the Greater Bamboo Lemur, Helpsimus, is dedicated to preserving the greater bamboo lemur and its natural habitat. In 2008, the NGO launched the “Bamboo Lemur” conservation programme, which has been implemented in the south-east of Madagascar, on the outskirts of Ranomafana National Park, where communities live in extreme poverty and rely mainly on subsistence farming. Through conservation efforts, sustainable land management, and community engagement, the aim of the programme is to ensure that local populations and wildlife can live together in harmony, thus reducing the pressure on forest ecosystems. • On the global scale, social inequalities represent a major challenge, creating deep disparities between individuals based on their origin, economic status, gender, or access to education. In many regions around the world, millions of people face structural barriers that limit their opportunities and perpetuate cycles of vulnerability. These inequalities have dramatic consequences, not only on the well-being of individuals but also on the stability and cohesion of societies. Promoting social equity is essential to building a sustainable world where every individual can reach their full potential as part of resilient and autonomous communities. Together with its partners, the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good is committed to supporting social equity by addressing key issues such as precariousness and social isolation. #AudemarsPiguetFoundations #WorldDayOfSocialJustice #Inequality #SocialEquity #FullPotential 📷 Food from the Heart

Across Europe, millions of people live in poverty, struggling to make ends meet. In fact, about 95 million people (or 21% of the EU population) are considered at risk of poverty or social exclusion, with many facing food insecurity. For these individuals and families, access to nutritious meals is often a daily challenge. Food banks and pantries play a vital role in providing not only essential food resources, but also offering a lifeline to communities in need. They work tirelessly to ensure that vulnerable populations – whether due to unemployment, health issues, or other factors – have the support they need to get through tough times. The Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good, in collaboration with Audemars Piguet’s subsidiaries and regional teams around the world, is proud to support a network of a dozen food banks and food pantries across several countries. The assistance provided aims to help combat hunger and precariousness, bridging the gap between those in need and those with the resources to help. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the brand’s employees involved in identifying these partnerships and volunteering onsite to support the missions of these organisations, as well as to all the food banks and pantries we are collaborating with for their unwavering commitment: Pane Quotidiano ONLUS, Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Madrid, Les Restos du Coeur, The Felix Project, Food from the Heart, Citymeals on Wheels, Taiwan People’s Food Bank Association, Opera San Francesco per i Poveri, Second Harvest Japan, 绿洲食物银行 Green Food Bank, Voedselbank Amsterdam, Rethink Food. #AudemarsPiguetFoundations #SocialEquity #FightingPrecariousness #FoodAid #FoodBanks #FoodPantries 📷 Pane Quotidiano 📷 Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Madrid 📷 Lucy Young 📷 Food from the Heart 📷 Jake Price 📷 Taiwan People's Food Bank Association 📷 Isabella Balena / Opera San Francesco per i Poveri 📷 Second Harvest Japan

  • Today, we recognise the vital connection between human well-being and the health of wetlands. From freshwater to coastal and marine ecosystems, wetlands – including lakes, rivers, ponds, swamps, coral reefs, and underground aquifers – are essential to both people and nature. Wetlands provide invaluable benefits, from improving environmental quality to supporting mental and physical health, and are critical for sustainable development. Despite their importance, wetlands face significant threats, with some of the highest rates of decline, loss, and degradation among global ecosystems. On this World Wetlands Day, let’s recognise the commitment of dedicated NGOs working to protect these vital areas. One such organisation is the Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois. Through its “Toile verte” (Green canvas) project, the NGO carries out various initiatives to conserve the region’s landscape heritage, including its network of natural wetlands along the Jura ridges. Due to the highly permeable limestone subsoil in the area, this network is incomplete, leaving few surface water reservoirs. The biodiversity of the few existing water bodies and marshes must be supported by interconnected relay biotopes. To address this challenge, the park has introduced the concept of agro-ecological ponds on mountain pastures. These ponds, which combine water retention basins for livestock with ecological benefits, serve both the needs of agro-pastoralism and local biodiversity. • Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape a more equitable and sustainable world. Yet, in light of a report published by UNESCO in 2024, UN Secretary-General António Guterres issued a global warning of a teacher shortage. According to the report, we urgently need 44 million more teachers by 2030 to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which is to provide primary and secondary education for all. The consequences of this shortage are overcrowded classrooms, overworked teachers, educational disparities and financial pressure on education systems, affecting both educational quality and access to learning. On this International Day of Education, it is crucial to reflect on these challenges and the collective action required to address them. Our partner, Teach For All, is part of the global movement working to change these statistics. This international NGO builds and supports a growing network of local organisations that work to empower promising leaders to improve the education systems in their countries. These organisations recruit young graduates, train them in teaching, and inspire them to become committed leaders engaged in advancing equitable access to quality education for children in underserved communities. • At the Audemars Piguet Foundations, we believe that philanthropy is not only about financial support but also about fostering long-term, sustainable change within the organisations we partner with. In line with this belief, we are excited to announce the recent official establishment of our Organisational Development (OD) pillar, an initiative aimed at strengthening the philanthropic sector. The key objectives of this OD pillar include: 𝐨  𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐆𝐎 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: We are committed to helping our partners build more resilient and effective organisations, equipping them with the tools needed to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment. 𝐨  𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞-𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Sharing knowledge is crucial to advancing the impact of philanthropy. Through this pillar, we aim to facilitate the dissemination of good practices, key insights, and lessons learned from former partnerships, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement within the sector. 𝐨  𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬: While financial aid remains essential and is at the core of our activities, we recognise that NGOs also need non-financial resources to grow and scale their work. Our OD support includes capacity-building opportunities, access to networks, and guidance on strategic planning and management. We are thrilled about the potential of this initiative to elevate the work of our partner organisations, strengthen the wider charity ecosystem, and contribute to driving catalytic change in the communities served. #AudemarsPiguetFoundations #OrganisationalDevelopment #OD #CapacityBuilding #NonFinancialSupport
