What does it take to run a successful business in China today and tomorrow?   That was the key question of our recent workshop at BAUMANN, Switzerland. BAUMANN Group has been active on the Chinese market for over 20 years. To lay the foundation for further growth in China, we are now opening a new site in Changshu.   Last month, we were honoured to welcome a delegation from the authorities of the Changshu New & Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone with its Vice Director of Investment Promotion Bureau Mr. Zhang Hui and connect them with interested Swiss entrepreneurs at our headquarters in Ermenswil, Switzerland.   A warm welcome and a plant tour by our Group CEO of BAUMANN Thomas H. Rüegg was followed by insights from Mr. Zhang Hui into Changshu as a business hub. Afterwards, the focus shifted to an exchange moderated by Mr. Felix Aepli, Managing Partner of Knowhow Transfer Org, during which we had the opportunity to learn from each other and share experience that led to the success in the Chinese market.   We want to express our deep gratitude towards our partners from Changshu New & Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone for their ongoing support, and to everyone who attended this event and shared their insights.   We are proud of our #strategicgrowth in China and we can’t wait to share some exciting news with you very soon! 🚀 To kick of their training program, our apprentices from #BAUMANN, Switzerland made some incredible memories at the vocational training camp in beautiful Chaumont, Neuchâtel!   From learning together at the Zurich School Holidays Foundation (ZSF) and exploring the art of watchmaking in La Chaux-de-Fonds, to crafting sweet creations at Chocolaterie Chocolats Camille Bloch SA, every day was packed with hands-on learning and discovery.   Our students also enjoyed historic alleyways and hidden corners of Neuchâtel during exciting scavenger hunt, and hiked to the scenic Creux du Van, rewarded by breathtaking views and encounters with friendly ibexes.   This week once again reminded us that every great experience starts with a bit of an adventure! 🙂   Do you want to be part of the next one? Nach einer aufregenden Carfahrt erreichten sie Chaumont, Neuchâtel.   Die Woche stand ganz im Zeichen der Vielfalt: Gemeinsam packten die Lernenden bei der Stiftung Zürcher Schülerferien (ZSF) an, tauchten in die faszinierende Welt der Uhrmacherei in La Chaux-de-Fonds ein und verwandelten sich in kleine Chocolatiers bei Chocolats Camille Bloch SA.   Ein besonderes Highlight war die Wanderung zum Creux du Van. Der anstrengende Aufstieg wurde belohnt mit einem atemberaubenden Panoramablick und der Begegnung mit Steinböcken.   Auch die Stadt Neuchâtel hatte so einiges zu bieten: Bei einer spannenden Schnitzeljagd entdeckten die Lernenden die historischen Gassen und versteckten Winkel der Stadt.   Die Abende wurden gemeinsam mit Spielen und lustigen Aktionen verbracht. Es entstand eine grossartige Gemeinschaft und viele neue Freundschaften. Our #BAUMANN Automotive & Industry Division wrapped up its second Management Days this year!   This bi-annual tradition brings our team #together and allow us to focus on our key initiatives and strategic planning in completely different way.   From #ProductivityImprovement Workshop to advancing Operational Excellence (BOX), and executing strong Plant and Sales Strategies – we really covered a lot of ground during those 3 days! 💪   To balance our intensive strategic meetings, we also attended delightful winery tour in picturesque Franciacorta and tested our #teamwork as we hit the waters for some proper team-building.
