Together with S-Payment, we introduced a payment innovation this summer: Optical payment became part of the Sparkasse POS (S-POS) App. This enabled Bluecode, Bancomat and Alipay+ users from around the world to pay at S-POS merchants in Germany with just one QR code based on EPC standards. At this year’s European Football Championship in Germany, the new S-POS App has been in use for the first time, allowing merchants in stadiums and fanzones to accept optical payments in a convenient way. So good to have spent some important quality time with all #EMPSA members again at the EMPSA Conference in Madrid! 😊   For those who don’t know #EMPSA yet: EMPSA European Mobile Payment Systems Association unites eleven Mobile Payment Systems in Europe with over 90 million users. The EMPSA members are cooperating and making efforts to connect their domestic payment systems into one large European network – real interoperability based on European rules without any intermediaries. We at #Bluecode are one of these eleven payment systems and are also represented by Christian Pirkner as EMPSA Chairman, as well as Peter Neubauer as Chairman of the EMPSA interoperability working group.    In Madrid, we worked on our plans for the upcoming months. And yes, we also celebrated our latest big milestone: Together with BANCOMAT S.p.A. from Italy we proved that European #PaymentRoaming works by showing live transactions during #UEFAEURO2024 🚀 Watch out for our upcoming news on #P2P payments (soon)! 🤫🤩 It was a pleasure to meet all of our fellows in person again! What an amazing #TeamTrip 2024! 🤩🏝️🌊 We had an awesome time at this year’s #Bluecode Summer Event in Croatia, bringing the whole team together! 🙌 For us, it’s extra special to come together in one place, as many of our team members are spread all over the world during everyday working life. 🌍 Besides our offices in Innsbruck, Vienna, and Lagos, many colleagues work from their home of choice - or from any place they want to. Despite virtual meetings and coffee dates, nothing beats meeting in person and spending some time off together. 🏓⛱🍻 We soaked up the late summer sunshine ☀️, played on the beach 🏸, and spent some warm summer nights together. 🍹 When the rain hit, we explored the stunning Krka National Park, became pros in various board games, and enjoyed Croatia’s delicious cuisine. 🇭🇷🍽️ So grateful to have such a fun, talented, and dedicated team ✨! This is how Payment Roaming works 👇    Watch our video to see that #PaymentRoaming between #Bluecode, BANCOMAT S.p.A., and Alipay+ has gone live and is working for real! 🚀🥳  You can see a #BancomatPay user seamlessly paying at a Bluecode acceptance point, as well as a Bluecode user paying at an Alipay+ acceptance point. In both cases, the user is "roaming" in a different network. Neither the user nor the merchant needs to change their usual behavior— for both, it feels like a transaction they are already familiar with. In the background, the payment schemes are communicating with each other to guarantee a seamless interoperable transaction across borders and networks. 💯🤝     #mobilepayment #interoperability
