Einzelhandel: Luxusgüter und Schmuck

Swiss Watch & Fine Jewellery Experts since 1888.

Info

In 1888, businessman and entrepreneur Carl-Friedrich Bucherer opened his first watch and jewellery store in Lucerne together with his wife, Luise, thereby laying the foundation stone for the successful family business. Today, Bucherer is the biggest watch and jewellery retailer in Europe. Steeped in tradition, the company has spent decades mastering the art of watchmaking and jewellery and is proud to be able to offer its international clientele a broad range of luxury watch brands, including what is probably the most extensive selection of Rolex watches. The cooperation with Rolex began back in the 1920s and has remained one of the company’s mainstays to this day. At the same time, over the past 129 years, Bucherer has established for itself an exclusive reputation with its own range of exquisite jewellery, the centerpieces of which are the jewellery collections designed and produced in the company’s in-house atelier, as well as individually crafted pieces featuring particularly rare natural-colored diamonds, unique color gemstones and sought-after pearls. Bucherer is present at exclusive locations in Europe, with 16 stores in Switzerland, 10 in Germany, several in England and a store each in Austria, Denmark and France. Bucherer established the world’s largest watch and jewellery store in Paris in 2013. The company employs over 1,600 staff and has now been under the stewardship of the Bucherer family for three generations, with Jörg G. Bucherer currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Bucherer headquarters remain in Lucerne to this day.
