Negotiation Essentials: A pair of statement heels 👠, the great books on negotiation 📚, and a great deal of empathy 🤝. This Saturday, I had the privilege of leading a negotiation training session on the final day of the AIJA - International Association of Young Lawyers Conference, which focused on new technologies, IP/TMT, and antitrust law in Málaga 🌍. It was fantastic to connect with over 130 lawyers from across Europe, providing them with innovative tools that extend beyond their usual fields of expertise. I particularly enjoyed engaging them with simulation exercises, where my colleague Stephen Kilpatrick challenged their skills as humanitarian negotiators 🤝. As for key learnings? I’ll leave that to the participants to reflect on, but I hope you carry forward some insights from our discussions into your next negotiation💡. A heartfelt thank you to Marco S.
