𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 (𝐇𝐏𝐂)! 🔄 This time of the year signifies an intensive planning period in many humanitarian crises. The Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC) is a coordinated series of actions undertaken to help prepare for, deliver, manage and evaluate humanitarian response. 📈 The HPC includes needs assessment and analysis, planning, resource mobilization, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. The HPC helps to ensure that the humanitarian response is: ⁃ needs-based and inclusive, ⁃ effective and well-coordinated and; ⁃ accountable. 📊It promotes collaboration among humanitarian actors and facilitates the use of evidence-based data and analysis to inform decision-making. If you would like to learn more about the HPC and child protection, please check out this short course available on the Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR)’s learning platform through the following link: https://lnkd.in/dBqYYvns

Integrating MHPSS into humanitarian responses not only addresses immediate needs but also strengthens health and social systems in the long run. 🚸 The Child Protection-specific guide of the MSP outlines priority activities that Child Protection actors can implement to ensure high-quality, context-appropriate support and promote the mental health and psychosocial well-being of children and caregivers. 🤝 By using this tool, we can ensure more coordinated and effective responses, improving MHPSS for children and contributing to long-term recovery and resilience.
