CSEM's talent show #5: 🎨 The painter 🎨 Meet Claudia Pozas, at CSEM since March 2023: Balancing professional responsibilities with her love for watercolor painting, Claudia enriches her work life through her passion for art. “I love working on beautiful landscapes and the shapes of flowers and insects,” she says. Though she sometimes switches to acrylics, her passion for nature remains constant. A childhood painting class revealed her talent, and painting has grown into a fulfilling passion. “In my job, I need to be organized and focused, just like when I paint,” she notes. This creativity and big-picture view enhance her role as a Grant Manager in micro and nano systems, giving her a keen eye for detail and improving her effectiveness. #ArtAndWork #WatercolorPainting #Creativity

CSEM's talent show #4: 🌿 The Trailblazing PhD Student 🏞️ Meet Nicolas Rospars, at CSEM since February 2023: Nicolas is making strides in sustainable energy as a PhD student and channels his energy into high-intensity trail running. “These activities push me physically and mentally,” he shares. Growing up in Savoie, France, Nicolas faced tough races, including one with 100 km/h winds, snow, and storms. “Fortunately, my teammate and I stayed united,” he recalls. CSEM's talent show #3: ⛵ The sea lover 🌊 Meet Cathriona McIntyre, at CSEM since September 2023: Cathriona, a passionate sailor and CSEM team member, discovered her love for sailing during her childhood in Ireland. “My father, a boat builder, decided to build his own boat one day,” she recalls. For Cathriona, sailing represents freedom and adventure. In May 2024, she and her family sailed near Elba, Italy, adapting to changing weather. She’s also completed the challenging journey from France to Ireland, crossing the English Channel. “Sailing requires planning and flexibility, key elements in my work,” she explains. “Freedom, planning, and interpersonal skills are at the heart of my passions.” #Sailing #Freedom #Planning #QualityManagement #Passion

CSEM's talent show #2: 🚣♂️ The peaceful rower 🚣♂️ Meet Pierre-François Rüedi, at CSEM since 1992: As we celebrate 40 years of CSEM, we highlight Pierre-François, our expert in integrated circuit design and a dedicated rower. Rowing alone brings him calm and balance, allowing him to set his own pace and embrace both solitude and challenge. But team rowing is also his jam: in May 2024, he took on the Vogalonga in #Venice, a 30 km journey with 1,500 teams. This is just one of his many rowing adventures, including the Neuchâtel-Bienne round trip in a day and circling #LakeNeuchatel in two days. The skills Pierre-François hones through rowing—teamwork, coordination, and perseverance—directly translate into his professional life, ensuring seamless collaboration and sustained energy in leading complex projects. #Rowing #Engineering #Teamwork #Innovation
