This chronic condition causes painful swelling, restricted movement, and a higher risk of infections due to the accumulation of lymphatic fluid in tissues. Unfortunately, current treatments like compression therapy and manual lymphatic drainage are often far from ideal.   🎉 Congratulations to our partner Lymphatica Medtech! 🎉   We are thrilled to congratulate Lymphatica Medtech on raising €17.9 million in Series B funding! Their groundbreaking technology, LymphoDrain, represents a significant advancement in lymphedema treatment. Unlike traditional methods, LymphoDrain is an implantable device that continuously drains lymph fluid, providing a minimally invasive solution for patients. This innovative system includes a micro-pump and catheter implanted subcutaneously, a wearable controller, and a cloud-based software application.   🤝 Collaboration with CSEM 🤝   CSEM’s engineers provided their invaluable systems design and integration expertise to help create the wearable controller that drives the pump motor in the LymphoDrain system in the frame of a joint Innosuisse collaboration project.   🌎 Looking Ahead: Tacking a global challenge 🌎   LymphoDrain is set to provide unprecedented benefits to patients by locally and actively replacing the lymphatic vessels' draining function, significantly improving their quality of life.
