Kilian contributed to the latest edition of the Swiss Biotech Association newsletter on why #flexwork in the Biotech industry is different: „Flexwork refers to different types of temporary work assignments – via staff leasing or project-based, often by freelancers. A new study of swissstaffing shows that workers would like more flexibility to organize their work and to work less; flexible working is important for around 80 percent of workers, but only just over half are able to work in this way. Of course, workload, working time, remote vs. onsite work, etc. – all these questions are also relevant for people in the #Biotech industry. However, for Biotech companies, the main purpose of flexwork is portfolio management in research & development: As only very few products make it to the market, employers need flexible resources to staff their projects.
