We are delighted to announce that last month we closed our inaugural syndicated US borrowing base facility for the benefit of our US subsidiary, 𝗗𝗫𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝗰., with Wells Fargo acting as Mandated Lead Arranger, Administrative Agent and Bookrunner, together with Rabobank and ING acting as Lenders. This facility will be used to support our fast-growing gas & power trading franchise in North America, paving the way for a promising future for our US division. We thank our US colleagues and banking partners for the great team effort and strong support throughout, and we look forward to further building on our partnerships going forward.

We were lucky enough to be able to chat with the Master’s students at USI Università della Svizzera italiana about their initial approach to the job market, and the start of a new life after their studies. As usual, we met a bunch of bright, talented people asking insightful questions and making astute observations. DXT will continue to work with the local universities and their very dedicated career service teams, to play its small part in the preparation of these young professionals.

The two weeks from the launch of the Duferco Academy have seen an incredible response across the entire Group. People who would otherwise never have cause to interact have the chance to engage internationally with colleagues towards common learning goals.

I’m pleased to share that we have implemented a new Sustainable Sourcing Policy (“SSP”).   As a global trading house, working with thousands of counterparties and valued stakeholders along the supply chain, it is of fundamental importance that we ensure that all our partners share and respect our values based on Business Integrity, the safeguard of Human Rights and care for the Environment. Together with an enhanced KYC screening process, this is another important step towards a more sustainable global economy and I'm proud we, as DXT, are playing our part in this journey. Strengthening partnerships to ensure a sustainable and reliable infrastructure for clean energy.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. DXT Forestry Solutions (New Zealand) Ltd, a subsidiary of DXT Climate Solutions (UK) Ltd, recently announced that it has received consent from the New Zealand government to conclude the purchase of its first sustainable production forest in New Zealand. Consent has been given to take over an area of approximately 540 hectares of native bush and fast-growing sustainable pine tree plantation in New Zealand’s North Island. The newly planted forest will be maintained to maximise its carbon capture potential, as part of DXT's commitment to combat the effects of carbon emissions. The forest will sequester approximately 10,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year guaranteed by a sustainable harvest and replant regime. DXT plans to expand its sustainable forest portfolio in New Zealand and other countries, as well as explore other opportunities to support nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation. The company also intends to leverage its digital capabilities to monitor and report on the environmental and social impacts of its forestry activities.
