🏃♂️✨ Are you aware of the critical balance between energy intake (EI) and energy expenditure (EEE) in athletes? Our latest study investigates the prevalence of low energy availability (LEA) among trained male cross-country skiers. Key findings: -On typical training days, EI was 4050 ± 797 kcal. -On competition days, EI increased to 5986 ± 924 kcal. -Despite high energy intake during competitions, many athletes still faced low energy availability.
