How can we ensure safe control under 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗶.𝗶.𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 noise? Our latest research presents a stochastic MPC framework with 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱-𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀 under 𝘀𝘂𝗯-𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 noise — a versatile class that includes Gaussian and all bounded distributions, offering greater flexibility for real-world systems. ✨ Highlights: • A new characterization of sub-Gaussian to handle cross-correlation for multivariate states. • Allows safe control with high dimensional measurements (images, point cloud). • Less conservative confidence bounds compared to robust and distributional robust approaches.
