Congratulations to Ferrexpo's corporate basketball team on winning the regional men's championship in Poltava region. The team comprised employees from the railway department: Anton Mikhailovsky, Mikhail Shavlay and Oleg Zaporozhets. They were joined by coach and player Roman Meletich and Volodymyr Koloda from the Management Board. This star team has become a symbol of dedication, co-operation and unity. The history of this basketball team began at the Ferrexpo Cup 3x3 corporate championship. Today, our colleagues represent the company with dignity, winning various competitions. We congratulate our champions and wish them new triumphs in the sports arenas of Ukraine!

Ferrexpo has allocated UAH 4.2 million for the purchase of modern medical equipment for the rehabilitation, trauma, and neurology departments of the Horishni Plavni Territorial Community Hospital. Recently, the company delivered the final batch of equipment, which includes state-of-the-art arthroscopic surgery instruments, innovative diagnostic systems, and neurostimulation devices. This equipment will serve as a foundation for the physical and psychological rehabilitation and treatment of community residents, including veterans. Thanks to Ferrexpo’s collaboration with local authorities, Ukrainian heroes are receiving the care and support they need as they transition back to civilian life.

Gender inequality in sports remains a challenge not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. Women's football in Ukraine faces these challenges: limited media attention and infrequent television broadcasts slow down the development and visibility of the sport. That is why Ferrexpo, paying special attention to issues of equality in Ukraine, invests not only in creating equal opportunities and fighting stereotypes in the workplace, but also supports social initiatives, in particular in sports, helping to implement new standards of diversity and inclusiveness. One of the clubs receiving our support is the women's football team "Vorskla". Vorskla's players have repeatedly confirmed their skill on the field. The team won the fifth championship of Ukraine and is preparing to represent the country again in the Women's Champions League. Over the past decade, Ferrexpo has invested more than US$400 million in the our #logistics infrastructure, particularly in Ukraine, to ensure flexible and efficient delivery of our products to Europe and beyond. We are saddened to hear that yesterday, as a result of Russian ballistic missiles strikes on a residential area in Poltava, more than 50 people lost their lives, and nearly 300 were injured.   Everybody at Ferrexpo expresses their deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed, as well as to all those affected by this brutal attack. We stand ready to assist the authorities in addressing the aftermath of this tragedy.   In these challenging times, may we be supported by courage, and resilience. Let us remember all those who have suffered and those who have lost their lives in this war.

In recent months at the Yeristovo mine, we conducted familiarisation tours for future female women truck drivers participating in the Reskilling Ukraine pilot project. This initiative has been is implemented with the support of the Swedish government and businesses and aims to increase the number of women in so-called "atypical professions". During the tours, the participants could not only familiarise themselves with the advanced automation and remote control technologies used by the company, but also experience being part of the larger Ferrexpo team. Ferrexpo continues to support this and other initiatives aimed at promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in manufacturing. We are proud to support women's professional development in interesting and important job roles for the economy and country.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our exceptional rowers from the "Hirnyk" club, Liudmyla Luzan and Liudmyla Kuklinovska, who have once again brought glory to Ukraine on the world stage! Last week, they won two gold medals at the World Canoe and Kayak Championships in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Liudmyla Luzan has reaffirmed her title as world champion for the fourth time, confidently claiming gold in the 500-metre canoe single event. For Liudmyla Kuklinovska, this triumph marks the first of her career, with her victory in the 200-metre kayak single event standing as a testament to her incredible determination and skill. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to our champions and their coach, Mykola Matsapura, who plays a pivotal role in achieving these fantastic results. You are our pride and the pride of the entire nation!

Youth is a true treasure for any company! This is why Ferrexpo actively supports and develops young professionals. Some of the initiatives that we are doing to achieve this include: The Project "A Start in Professional Future". For the eighth year, we have been implementing this project in one of the best schools in Poltava region. Participants are able to deepen their knowledge of natural and mathematical sciences, complemented by visits to our operations, involvement in scientific projects, and learning about mining engineering professions. Dual Education System. Our partnership with educational institutions allows students to undertake internships at our processing plants, helping them to better understand the specifics of the work and benefiit from working environment experience. Scholarship Programme. We support students studying disciplines that are central to the company, assisting them in focusing on their studies and realising their potential. Development Programmes. From the School of Masters to the Management Development Programme, our initiatives are aimed at the continuous development and upskilling of our employees. Fostering energetic young talent is important and will help contribute to the recovery and development of Ukraine.

The Paralympics 2024 are about to begin. Andrii Kryvchun, a member of Ferrexpo's home community, will compete in the rowing event at the 2024 Paralympics. Paralympians have always impressed with their perseverance and determination. And now they can also be an example for war veterans. At a time when Ukraine is fighting for independence, the company supports veterans in their rehabilitation and return to work, families and sport.
