Despite advancements in healthcare, maternal mortality ratios have stagnated globally. Far too many women are still losing their lives during childbirth, especially in humanitarian crisis settings. This crisis demands urgent and sustained attention. As UNGA gets underway, we are proud to share the latest Devex Op-ed, "Together we must end the maternal and newborn health crisis", co-authored by Kelle Moley from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Sanjana Bhardwaj, MD, MPH, FFPH from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Petra Khoury from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC. The article highlights the urgent need for global action to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes. At Ferring, we advocate for this cause through our Project Family: Safe Birth Commitment, which focuses on reducing maternal mortality where there is the greatest need, by improving access to quality care and treatments for mothers worldwide. As the Sustainable Development Goals deadline fast approaches, we invite all stakeholders to join efforts to reduce maternal and newborn mortality. Did you know, bladder cancer usually takes a long time to develop, that’s why it’s most common in older people. In fact, almost 60% of new cases are in people aged 75 or over. No matter how old you are, make sure you know the signs and symptoms of bladder cancer, like blood in your pee and peeing often, to support an early diagnosis. At Ferring, we are committed to reducing unmet needs and changing the trajectory of bladder cancer. #BladderCancerAwareness #BladderCancer #UroOncology

Often prostate cancer does not cause any symptoms until the cancer has grown large enough to put pressure on the urethra (the tube through which pee leaves the body). That’s why some of the initial symptoms people may notice include: - Peeing more frequently and/or urgently - Difficulty starting to pee - Taking a long time while peeing - Blood in your pee or semen At Ferring we are committed to addressing the unmet needs in prostate cancer to help people live better lives through our work in uro-oncology. #ProstateCancer #UroOncology

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men. While some risk factors, like age and ethnicity, can’t be controlled, maintaining a healthy weight may reduce your risk. #ProstateCancer #UroOncology

With bladder cancer being the 9th most common cancer worldwide, it’s vital to learn the symptoms to support early detection for better outcomes. Keep an eye out for: - Blood in your pee - An urgent or sudden need to pee - Repeated bladder infections We remain as passionate as ever about improving the lives of people living with bladder cancer through our work in uro-oncology. #BladderCancerAwareness #BladderCancer #UroOncology

Thank you to everyone who came to our booth at #ESHRE2024 and shared their thoughts on how we can make reproductive medicine more diverse, equitable and inclusive, as well as improve the patient journey. There were some pertinent themes that came through including increasing access to and affordability of fertility treatment, and raising awareness of alternative paths to parenthood. Many delegates also emphasised the need for further support, education, and empathy, including within the workplace. If you didn’t have the chance to contribute to the booth, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. This post is intended for healthcare professionals only. #ReproductiveMedicine #Fertility
