★ Scientific Tools that Boost your R&D ★ FLUXiM AG provides simulation software and measurement hardware to the display, lighting, and photovoltaic industries worldwide. We are developing tools for organic and perovskite-based electronics. Our modelling software SETFOS is designed to simulate light propagation and charge transport in optoelectronic devices, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and thin-film solar cells (OPV #perovskite solar cells). Laoss is a 2D-FEM solver that is used to design large-area displays and photovoltaics. Paios is an all-in-one electrical characterization unit that is able to perform steady-state, transient and frequency-dependent measurements on (O)LEDs and organic solar cells. Phelos is an angle-dependent spectral measurement system for electroluminescence (EL) and photoluminescence (PL) of thin films and (O)LEDs. Litos is our lifetime analysis tool. It is a powerful platform to perform stress-tests on thin-film solar cells and OLEDs. Litos Lite is a platform to perform parallel JV and stability measurements on organic and perovskite solar cells.

    Bigger Racdicchios with Setfos? Well almost. It's not something we designed it for but our customers from Italy's National Research Council (CNR-IMM (Istituto per la microelettronica e microsistemi) recent Nature paper shows how semi-transparent perovskite solar cells (CsPbI₃:EuI₂) significantly enhance radicchio seedling growth in greenhouse conditions. Despite receiving less total light, seedlings under these innovative solar panels grew faster, developed bigger leaves, and exhibited beneficial adaptive gene changes. Molto bene! The researchers aimed to integrate renewable energy and agriculture effectively, reducing the shadowing of crops while generating clean electricity. Using Fluxim's Setfos simulation software, the team successfully modeled device performance and energy production, demonstrating that these solar roofs could meet all annual greenhouse energy requirements—including lighting, irrigation, and climate control!
