It’s a wrap! 🎯 For this final day with the Club de Paris des Directeurs de l'Innovation, we had the chance to discover even more iconic and innovative companies from Western Switzerland. The morning started with a presentation by Stephan Buchser, Ambassador of Villars Maître Chocolatier Groupe Savencia, who took us through the history and expertise of this renowned brand. 🍫 Next, we headed to Scott Sports SA, where Pascal Ducrot, Reto Aeschbacher and SCOTT’s engineering team presented the history and innovations of this pioneering brand in sports and outdoor equipment. The tour of their impressive facilities gave us a deeper understanding of their innovation culture focused on performance and sustainability. 🚴♂️ The afternoon was dedicated to Michelin Research and Technology in #Givisiez, where we met Hervé Romanens, Christophe Penot and Tanguy Léon-Pflieger. Their presentation highlighted the expertise of the Michelin Group, as well as their research work in the canton of Fribourg. We concluded the visit with fascinating discussions about technological innovation in the automotive and maritime industry. 🚗 These few days have been an exceptional dive into Western Switzerland's innovation ecosystem. Rich exchanges, inspiring discoveries, and meetings with thought leaders have strengthened the ties between Western Switzerland and its international partners. 🌍 We would like to thank all the companies, participants, and partners who made this adventure possible. 🌍 "Fribourg is gearing up for big things. You hold a magnificent pole position, take advantage of it!" With these words, Christian Patermann closed the Bioeconomy Forum 2024. He is the former director of the European Union's Biotechnology, Agriculture, and Food Program and is widely recognized as the founding father of the bioeconomy. Last night, #GGBa had the honor of participating in the #BioeconomyForum, in the presence of the Club de Paris des Directeurs de l'Innovation, held at the bluefactory technology park in #Fribourg. The evening began with a warm welcome from local authorities, followed by a networking break that provided valuable exchanges with bioeconomy experts. A fascinating roundtable brought together UCB, the Université de Fribourg/Universität Freiburg, the scienceindustries association, and Agroscope, where they discussed the challenges of industrializing biotechnological products. 🧬💡 We also had the pleasure of discovering three successful Fribourg start-ups: Seprify, Bcomp Ltd, and Bloom Biorenewables, which, thanks to innovation support, have shown significant impact in the technological market. 🌱 To close the evening, Christian Patermann, a bioeconomy expert and former director of the European Union's biotechnology, agriculture, and food program, shared his expertise and vision on bioeconomy challenges. 🌍 A big thank you to Jerry Krattiger, Director of the Promotion économique du canton de Fribourg PromFR, for his summary and closing remarks! #Swisstech Invest in Switzerland #SwissInnovation
