We are the ones with the tomato juice... Some people enjoy the taste of tomato juice, while others do not. However, it has a large fan base, particularly among airplane passengers. Virtually every aircraft serves this juice as part of their in-flight catering. At Gate Gourmet, we ensure that our airline customers always have an ample supply of tomato juice in their galleys every day. Last year, over 270,000 liters were loaded onto journeys from Frankfurt alone! But what is the secret behind the “tomato juice mystery”, and how does it relate to our trainees and their training? To answer these questions and to make people curious about our diverse and colorful apprenticeships at gategourmet we, the Frankfurt apprenticeship team (Katia Belon, Ravinder Singh and Simon Denne), will be on the road again at many career information fairs in the region in the coming weeks. 🌟 Autumn Delights at the SWISS Lounges! 🌟 At the recent Food & Beverage Event hosted by Swiss International Air Lines at the Alpine Lounge in Zurich Airport, participants had the opportunity to taste seasonal delights and beverages from the First, Business, and Senator Airport Lounges of Swiss International Airlines. The culinary journey was curated by Daniel Dittrich and Michael Schiess. They shared some insight into the seasonal menu and the inspiration behind it. The aim was to demonstrate the diversity of the seasonal lounge menu and allow guests to experience firsthand the pristine quality and regional aspects of the ingredients. 🎇🙌 The Gate Gourmet team in Lima organized a tour of the kitchens for regional executives of Delta Air Lines and local journalists and influencers, to showcase our catering operation and the culinary services provided to Delta for their daily flight to Lima. The event focused on presenting the #DeltaOne menu served onboard, first illustrating the operations and preparation of the dishes from a behind-the-scenes perspective, and later offering a lunch service to taste the different menu options available onboard. 👨🍳gategroup’s Regional Executive Chef, Luis Duarte, and gategourmet Lima Chef, #RaulManrique, explained the culinary service of Delta One, highlighting main dishes representing traditional Peruvian gastronomy.
