Exciting news for drone operations! ⬇️ Yesterday, the Federal Aviation Administration announced Letters of Acceptance for Wing and Zipline, recognizing strategic coordination as digital mitigation for UAS operators in shared airspace. Such strategic coordination will utilize the UTM #DataExchange Agreement designed by the USS Data Sharing Agreement Task Force. This will allow these companies to manage drone traffic using UTM technology under the FAA's oversight, paving the way for safer, more efficient package deliveries. ➡️ This brings Dallas even more at the forefront of drone innovation, making it the ideal setting for our annual landmark #HarmonizedSkies conference! This year's edition will draw on the expertise gained from the Dallas operations, focusing on technical, operational, regulatory, and business development challenges facing the drone ecosystem. 🗓️ 14-15 November 2024 📍 FAA Regional Office in Dallas, Texas Save the date and stay tuned for more details on the event's program and registration opening!

The fourth episode of the GUTMA Task Force contributions blog series is out, and highlights ResilienX's contribution to the Secure and Resilient UTM Report ⬇ 🌐 "While UTM is considered an emerging technology domain, the longstanding processes of risk identification and hazard mitigation are considered ubiquitous in safety-driven industries, including air traffic management (ATM). While these processes may not adapt and scale directly to autonomy, much can be tailored from structured safety-critical system and software engineering approaches. One key difference for UTM, is that the iterative off-line approach of safety assessment-based processes is insufficient, due to the speed and scale of complexity with autonomous operations, and the myriad systems that support them." ➡ Click on the button below and continue reading: https://lnkd.in/d4JuMnzf
