Haelixa Ltd hat dies direkt geteilt
With our last post we presented Temera, which offers digital technology for tracking the information and data related to the entire product life cycle. Today, let's discover the collaboration between Italian transparency champs OVS S.p.A. and the innovative Swiss company Haelixa Ltd. While RFID chips and QR codes are the most widely used tracers on the market, they still have one major problem: they are only placed on packaging or finished products. Haelixa supplies DNA tracers, which are artificial DNA liquids that can be applied to fibers at the start of the supply chain. DNA consists of four molecules known as nucleotides, and nucleotide sequences can operate similarly to barcodes. This DNA can therefore be analyzed along the supply chain with the appropriate equipment, guaranteeing complete, forgery-proof traceability. The data collected with the DNA tracer can be integrated into any ERP platform and even blockchain for maximum security! This is what OVS did for one of its Spring Summer 2023 collections, where all the garments were made from Italian organic cotton. We're fascinated by these kinds of innovations and look forward to bringing you case studies on the subject in the TEX4.0 training suite. Follow us here or check out or webpage to discover more!

Did you know? @textile-exchange has developed The Preferred Fiber and Materials Matrix (PFMM)? At its core, this tool provides sustainability standards systems owners with an interactive way to assess their performance in a standardized manner. It also helps to establish a common direction for positive impact and assists brands in making well-informed decisions regarding material sourcing. Created initially by Gap Inc. to help designers and product teams understand the benefits and trade-offs of their fiber and raw material choices, Textile Exchange adopted the PFMM in 2020. Since then, we have been updating and refining the tool, drawing on expertise across the sector. The central vision for the PFMM is to support the industry in taking a holistic approach to decision-making related to fibers and raw materials. With the PFMM, brands are confident in their choices, knowing they contribute to a more sustainable future. Over 50% of fashion leaders recognize the crucial role of traceability in reducing emissions. However, it's equally important to note that many brands still need more visibility beyond their direct suppliers. This lack of visibility not only hinders sustainability efforts but also risks consumer trust. At Haelixa, we help brands gain complete supply chain visibility. Our DNA-based solution tracks the entire journey of your products, ensuring you meet regulatory demands and build consumer trust. Partner with Haelixa to make your supply chain visible, accountable, and sustainable.
