The Olympic Capital is a proud host of the 2024 edition of SportAccord's IF Forum held this week at the Olympic Museum. This year's theme, "Ensuring your IF is match fit and future-ready" will provide international federations with the latest updates on the new ideas, products and technologies that will shape tomorrow's world of sport. The President of the Etat de Vaud's council, Mrs. Christelle Luisier Brodard opened the event by highlighting the region's unique tech R&D capabilities to which IFs that are based here have easy access. 

The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) has officially settled into its stunning new headquarters in Mies, reaffirming a nearly thirty-year bond with Lausanne, The Olympic Capital and the Canton of Vaud! Last week, we were honored to have Christelle Luisier Brodard join FIM President Jorge Viegas in inaugurating the new building, a testament to our long-term partnership and shared commitment to regional development. This state-of-the-art facility houses the cutting-edge FIM Tech Lab – a hub for motorcycle innovation and a shining example of the FIM's commitment to technology and safety. The Lab further strengthens our region's reputation as a leader in technological advancement. Congratulations, Paris 2024!   The Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 Summer Games have truly been a spectacular celebration of athleticism, unity, and the Olympic spirit. Set against the stunning backdrop of 35 world-class venues, millions of fans from across the globe visited competition venues and celebration sites in Paris (Ville de Paris) and across France to support their sporting heroes, leaving us all inspired by 19 days of incredible competition and sportsmanship.   Paris 2024 has shown us once again how the Olympic Games can inspire and unite us all. We’re prouder than ever to be the Olympic Capital!   As we cherish the memories of Paris 2024, we excitedly look ahead to Milano-Cortina 2026 (Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026) and LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, where the journey of Olympic excellence will continue, promising unforgettable moments for athletes, coaches, federations, and fans around the world!

A look back at the Olympic Capital's celebrations with the Olympic family in Paris. Celebrating 30 years!   This Sunday, the Olympic Family gathered to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Lausanne being awarded the title of “Olympic Capital”. The traditional reception, held during each edition of the Olympic Games, was organised by the Lausanne Olympic Capital Foundation and took place in the gardens of the magnificent Ambassade de Suisse en France in Paris, at the #MaisonSuisse. Over 200 guests from the Olympic and international sports world enjoyed the celebration, tasted Swiss and Vaud specialties, listened to live music and signed the commemorative wall. A perfect day!
