Cotton is the second-largest fibre by volume, making up 22% of global fibre production, with 80% used in apparel, 15% in home furnishings, and the remaining 5% in non-woven applications like filters and padding.     However, organic cotton represents less than 1% of total production, and improving traceability and prevent fraud remains crucial.
