Because they do." - Sylvia Earle At Open Climate Solutions, we are inspired by this vision and are committed to playing our part in #OceanRegeneration. 🌱 We’re excited to share a short movie showcasing our first project with Kilchoan Melfort Trust, turning this vision into reality. Our project focuses on #RegenerativelyCultivatingSeaweed in Scotland’s pristine waters, which sequesters carbon and absorbs excess nutrients from the ocean. From the seaweed, we produce a nutrient-rich biostimulant and biochar for permanent carbon storage. The biostimulant helps farmers regenerate soils, improve crop yields, and withstand climate stresses while reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers. 🌿💪 The biochar offers a high-quality carbon removal solution with applications in construction materials and agriculture. While seaweed is not a silver bullet for climate change, we firmly believe it plays a key role in regenerating our oceans and terrestrial environments. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Adrian Macleod, Marnik Van Cauter, Toby Dewhurst, Nate Baker and the Kames Fish Farming team for their support and commitment throughout this project.
