📚 PUBLICATION | Bone marrow #organoids (BMOs) grown in 400µm microwells #Gri3D plates to obtain 121 microtissues per well 🔬 👨🏾🔬 In #leukemia research, understanding the behavior of leukemic stem cells (LSCs) and the efficient engraftment of #hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) into the bone marrow (BM) is crucial for improving #PatientOutcomes. These aspects are challenging to study due to the #complexity of the BM environment. To address this, researchers have developed a 3D in vitro model of BMOs that closely mimics the structure and cellular components of native BM 🧫 🚀 Researchers from EPFL used our innovative #Gri3D platform to generate #121 microtissues per well, all aligned in the same focal plane, making it a powerful tool for #DrugScreening and patient-specific assays. 📚 NEW PUBLICATION | TILs killing potency study in #Gri3D - 500 µm hydrogel microwells with plastic-bottom So exciting to see this publication out! Congratulations to all the #authors 👩🏻🔬👨🏾🔬! Researchers from EPFL School of Life Sciences (SV) have developed a cutting-edge assay using #Gri3D hydrogel microwell plates for #3Dcellcultures. #What did they do? Devanjali Dutta et al., created a high-content screening-compatible assay based on microcavity arrays to study tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) functionality on #3Dtumoroid models 🔬 #How does it work? By combining imaging and flow cytometry, they analyzed the antitumor activity of TILs, including tumoroid killing and cytokine secretion 🧪 #Why is it important 💡? 👩🏼🔬 GRI3D® FEATURE | 3D Cell Culture Strategies – combine ECM-embedded and suspension cultures in #Gri3D The most common #strategies for 3D cell cultures are based on either cell aggregation in suspension conditions or embedding in extracellular matrix (ECM). Examples of models grown in 3D suspension culture are liver #spheroids (such as primary human hepatocytes), BBB #assembloids (in a self-assembled co-culture), and #tumoroids (such as HCT116 colorectal carcinoma cell line), whereas ECM-embedded 3D models can be iPSC-derived and ASC-derived #organoids.
