Abundant computing power, combined with AI, is redefining business as we know it. For companies prepared to leverage this potential, there are enormous opportunities to accelerate processes, transform operations, and gain a competitive edge. From Citadel’s rapid-fire trades to Moderna’s accelerated vaccine development, industries are already demonstrating how compute power fuels innovation. And with AI now amplifying these possibilities, the question is no longer about 'if' or 'when,' but rather 'how far' leaders can imagine pushing their business potential. It’s time for leaders to ask themselves: What would you do with 1000x more computing power? The answer could shape the future. #AI #SwissCognitive #AINews #ArtificialIntelligence #ShareforSuccess ◻️How Your Business Can Make the Most of Abundant Computing Power in the Age of AI ◼️https://lnkd.in/dXCrv6xP

How much does distance matter in adopting AI? More than you’d think. Despite our digital world, geographic proximity to innovation hubs still plays a critical role in AI adoption and job growth. Recent studies reveal that firms further from AI hotspots experience a significant lag in AI job creation and adaptation, especially when scientific publications—not patents—are the primary source of knowledge transfer. This phenomenon even affects job markets across state borders, potentially due to migration barriers limiting the flow of tacit knowledge. For companies, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, this underscores the importance of location in the AI landscape, highlighting both the opportunities for growth near innovation centers and the need for strategies to bridge the distance gap. ◻️Distance From Innovation is a Barrier to the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence ◼️https://lnkd.in/djQyRgmq

AI is opening doors to ancient mysteries that seemed out of reach for generations of archaeologists. From identifying lost cities to reading charred papyri, AI is proving to be a game-changer in archaeology. In Peru, it enabled the discovery of over 300 hidden geoglyphs in months, while deep learning has allowed researchers to read damaged Herculaneum scrolls buried under volcanic ash. By pinpointing promising excavation sites, reconstructing ancient artifacts, and mapping early human migrations, AI is changing our understanding of history. For those fascinated by the past, the potential here is limitless. Archaeology shows us that even the most complex mysteries can be uncovered with the right tools. How will today's AI investments shape tomorrow's world? 🌍 From automotive safety to financial analytics, AI funding is setting the stage for transformative innovation. This week, investments highlight a bold vision: General Catalyst's $8 billion move into enterprise AI, Toyota and NTT’s $3.3 billion push for predictive safety in self-driving cars, and the EU's $1.5 billion commitment to deep tech research. Beyond major markets, Google is driving AI skills growth in Sub-Saharan Africa with a $5.8 million investment, and countries like Indonesia are cultivating tech-friendly policies to build future AI hubs. This momentum assumes a global shift across finance, construction, and even national security, creating opportunities for industries and regions to become part of tomorrow’s tech landscape. #AIRadar #Investment #AIInvestment #AI #SwissCognitive #ArtificialIntelligence https://lnkd.in/dUd7NYWF
