It is a great pleasure to share with you our recent image-based inspection for Baudirektion Kanton Zürich. In this project, we utilized various devices, including drones and handheld cameras, to capture images of a bridge abutment's exterior and interior surfaces with a target resolution of 0.20 mm/pixel. The collected data was analyzed with our trained AI models to detect various types of damage, including cracks, spalling, and corrosion. The detected damages were then quantified and localized on the 3D structure. This project demonstrates the power of image-based inspection by providing engineers with quantitative information about existing damage. Working with colleagues at Baudirektion Kanton Zürich has been exceptional, and we look forward to continuing to innovate together.
