Transocean was a gold sponsor of the SPE/IADC International Drilling Conference and Exhibition in Norway this year.    Check out these photos from the exhibit space we shared with NOS Service AS, a Stavanger-based company we’ve partnered with to develop the Rotary Multi-Tool (RMT). The RMT is installed below the rotary table on the drill floor and automates pipe-wiping, washing, and hole-covering tasks. That automation removes people from the red zone and eliminates the need to manually install and remove pipe-wiping discs and c-plates.   The exhibit displayed part of the Rotary Multi-Tool kit that will soon be installed on the Transocean Norge. The tool is currently in use on the Transocean Enabler.    Huge shoutout to Taylor Pritchett, Sr. Specialist - Innovation Marketing (pictured), and Igor Brucher, Director - Marketing - Brazil, Europe, Africa & Asia, for representing Transocean at the conference!

Equipment automation and offshore robotics are important technologies to Transocean, and we’re proud to empower future innovators! With funding from Transocean, RoboSupport, a student robotics team from Sugar Land, Texas, is setting their sights on the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Tech Challenge World Championship.   The FIRST Tech Challenge was established to help students develop their STEM skills with a focus on teamwork and innovation. Through their participation in these competitions, RoboSupport aims to foster a community where students can support each other while pursuing their dreams in robotics and engineering. We’re always happy to educate young people about the career opportunities available to them in offshore drilling. Thanks to Nextgen Trades and all who participated in this outstanding event—it was a great day at our Houston office!  

Our U.S. Subsea Engineers recently swapped their PPE for a few days onshore at the Houston Enclave office. Round one of the 2025 Subsea Seminars brought together 44 Subsea Engineers from all nine U.S. rigs, along with the U.S. Subsea SWAT team.     It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights, tackle challenges, and map out our goals for 2025. We also had great presentations from our onshore teams and partners like NOV and SLB.    Here’s to a year of innovation, collaboration, and success ahead!    #WeAreTransocean #SubseaEngineering
