ADNOC Drilling's Turnwell, a joint venture with SLB and Patterson-UTI, is accelerating its unconventionals well delivery program following the completion of its first wells. At SLB, we’re committed to bringing innovative technology solutions to market for sustainable lithium production at scale. Today, we’ve made good on that commitment. We are pleased to announce that we have achieved breakthrough results from our demonstration plant in Clayton Valley, Nevada. The plant proved our innovative integrated solution using direct lithium extraction (DLE), concentration and conversion technologies to convert lithium brine to high-quality lithium products •500 times faster than conventional methods, with a •96% recovery rate, using •10% of the land. The solution also uses less water and fewer chemical reagents compared to other DLE-based methods—making it the fastest, most economical and sustainable way to produce lithium for today’s market.
