#Japan is definitely pushing things forward for #web3 💡 ! After my visit there at the Embassy of Switzerland in Japan, Consulate of Switzerland, Swissnex in Japan, EDCON — Community Ethereum Development Conference + many side events, that became quite clear. Tons of web3 experiences are led right now by Japanese industry leaders - Suntory Global Spirits, Mitsubishi Corporation, Honda just to name a few - and a supportive government with the official Web 3.0 Policy Office established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry are pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Can't wait to expand there with Wakweli! Collaboration between #Japan and #Switzerland is also booming, with great international initiatives like INTMAX , powerful layer 2 solution by top-KOL Mai Fujimoto (a.k.a. Miss Bitcoin) and Overlay DAO - equity tokenization platform by Takashi Oka. The ongoing visit of Swiss Confederation President Viola Amherd and her audience with His Majesty the Emperor Naruhito today definitely shows a bright future for Japanese and Swiss relations. We’ve received critical feedback from Bern regarding our foundation deed, which we submitted to the Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations. This marks a significant milestone as we work towards launching the official Swiss Foundation. 🇨🇭 Having the support of the Swiss federal authorities is a game-changer in our journey. Now, the protocol updates 🆕 Off the back of our successful Alpha 2.0, we’re gearing up to launch an innovative experiment in social network profile certification. This initiative will showcase how our community can create a decentralized alternative to the traditional "pay-to-win" certification models.  We’re committed to pushing boundaries and can’t wait to share this journey with you. This experiment is a crucial step in advancing Wakweli’s broader mission of universal certification.  While NFTs were just the beginning, it's time to expand the Wakweli protocol to other impactful use cases like this. Tokenization of #RWA is set to revolutionize finance 🤯 Tokenization is rapidly gaining traction in financial markets. McKinsey & Company forecasts a potential market capitalization of 1 to 4 trillion for tokenized assets by 2030, excluding cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. Even more bullish, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) projects the tokenized asset market could reach $16 trillion by 2030. With only 0.03% of the market currently captured, there is a significant opportunity for early adopters. The promise Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, recently emphasized the transformative potential of tokenizing financial assets. Institutional adoption of this technology could significantly reshape the financial ecosystem, echoing McKinsey's findings of an impending shift towards tokenization. McKinsey’s report compares the adoption of tokenization to other technologies like the internet and smartphones. Currently in the early stages, tokenization is expected to see an average annual growth rate of 75% until 2030. 💹 The use cases ⚙️ Tokenization is set to impact various sectors, from real estate to equities and bonds. By converting assets into digital tokens on a blockchain, it enhances liquidity, reduces transaction costs, and improves transparency. For instance, real estate tokenization could enable fractional ownership, and tokenized bonds could streamline trading processes. Challenges? 👀 Several obstacles must be addressed to achieve widespread adoption. Regulatory uncertainty, technological challenges such as blockchain security and scalability, and the need for market participant education are significant barriers. Looking ahead 🔎 As the financial industry gradually embraces tokenization, collaboration and innovation will be crucial to overcoming barriers and realizing the technology's full potential.
