The Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities Inc promotes accessible publishing, ensuring that quality alternative formats – such as braille, large print, e-text, and audio – are available to those who need them. Winner of the 2024 Accessible Books Consortium International Excellence Award in the “Initiative” category, the organization develops guidelines for accessible formats and provides training for publishers, educators, and disability organizations. In an interview, Sonali Marathe, President of the Round Table, discusses the organization's role in promoting accessibility, key challenges faced by people with print disabilities, and how innovative assistive technologies are improving access to information. When her parents’ coffee business was hit by the coffee crisis in the 2000s, Naruemon Taksaudom took over, rebranded the company, embraced sustainable agriculture, and expanded its reach. Today, her coffee brand supports the livelihood of over 900 local farmers and connects their high-quality products to markets in eight countries, fostering growth and sustainability in the region. On her entrepreneurial journey, Naruemon benefited from personalized mentorship and expert guidance under WIPO’s Intellectual Property Management Clinic for SMEs Program.
