Adherence is a partnership—it’s a shared commitment between healthcare providers, patients, families, and communities. While providers offer guidance and follow-up, support systems outside the medical setting play a crucial role in motivating patients to stay on track. Small steps like daily medication, healthy routines, and encouragement from loved ones can lead to big moments. With the right support, patients can stay committed to their healthcare plans and protect the moments that matter most. 👉 What small step are you helping your patients take today to create a big moment for tomorrow? Share it with us and discover resources to support patient adherence every step of the way. Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Health are transforming medicine—how do we ensure they improve cardiovascular care, especially in the communities that need it most? This is the question we will explore at the Salim Yusuf Emerging Leaders Programme 2025, which I am honored to host in Houston, Texas, with Professors Eric Boerwinkle, Maria Fernandez, Jiajie Zhang, George A. Mensah, MD, FACC, FCP(SA) Hon, D. Prabhakaran, and Pablo Perel from October 20-25. For over a decade, the Emerging Leaders Programme has brought together some of the brightest minds in cardiovascular health. This year, with the usual strong emphasis on implementation science, we turn our focus to a new frontier—how AI and mobile technology can drive cardiovascular disease prevention and care. Through the CARDIO4Communities on Phone (C4CoP) initiative, participants will engage in an action-oriented approach, ensuring that digital innovation is not just a theoretical discussion but a practical, scalable tool with impact in the real world. As we have successfully completed 10 years of the Emerging Leaders Programme, we look forward to honoring Professor Salim Yusuf during the week full of teaching, learning, exchange of ideas and developing an international study protocol for all of us to be a part of. We are looking for clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and advocates who are ready to shape the future of cardiovascular health and join a strong network of over 200 experts who graduated from the program in the last ten years. Building on our commitment to leadership in cardiovascular health, we will also host the Leadership in Advocacy and Communications (LAC) programme in Houston alongside the Emerging Leaders Programme. First launched in 2024, this young initiative equips heart health advocates with the tools to influence policy, communicate with conviction and focus, mobilize communities, and drive meaningful change beyond the scientific domain. By bringing these two programs together, WHF continues to strengthen leadership in cardiovascular health—ensuring that expertise in science, policy, and advocacy go hand in hand. If you have a vision for how technology can transform heart health in your community, this is your opportunity to turn ideas into action. Applications are now open! Deadline: March 21 Houston, Texas, USA – October 2025 Apply here: https://lnkd.in/gGm6ArjW EL and capacity building programs of WHF: https://lnkd.in/ggXxwCgE Join us as we take on one of the most pressing challenges in cardiovascular health. I look forward to welcoming the next cohort of Emerging Leaders! #WHFEL #WHFEL2025 #CardiovascularHealth
