New Milestone for Energy Storage: Specialized 'Large Battery Cells' Now Offer 2.2kWh Capacity per Single Cell At the recently concluded 3rd #EESA #EnergyStorage Expo, BatteroTech (BTL) and #CRRC Zhuzhou Institute jointly launched a new generation of #688Ah energy storage #LargeBatteryCells along with a #FullSystemSolution. This marks another innovative breakthrough, propelling ES products into the era of large-capacity cells. The debut of the products immediately drew significant attention from both domestic and international customers, sparking intense interest across the downstream industry chain. Huang, Director of the BatteroTech R&D Institute, stated that BTL has partnered with CRRC to tackle the core pain points of the industry, enhancing #EnergyDensity, #ManufacturingCosts, #EnergyEfficiency, and #ProductionLineCompatibility to meet the needs of various ES scenarios.” The 688Ah cells will increase #systemcapacity to over 6.9MWh, delivering maximum value through precise configuration. These cells have a #cyclelife of over 10,000 cycles, a calendar life of over 20 years, and an energy efficiency exceeding 96%. Compared to mainstream 314Ah cells, the volumetric energy density has improved by 6%, achieving a single-cell capacity of 2.2 kWh, making them suitable for a wide range of scenarios, including #gridscale, C&I and residential applications. The 688Ah large cell significantly enhances the #ROI for manufacturer and developers. From production perspective, with the current #314Ah cell, a traditional production line's annual capacity is around 3GWh. However, with the larger cell, we can now achieve 10GWh per production line, significantly reducing manufacturing and depreciation costs, boosting the profitability of production lines. In end-use applications, large battery cells can reduce system integration complexity, simplify assembly processes, save on equipment, energy consumption, and labor, reduce component distribution, lowering integration costs. For a conventional 100MW project’s initial investment, with the same 20-foot container, the 688Ah large cell paired with a 6.9MWh energy storage system will save 20% in land area, reduce components by 20%, and cut initial costs by 8%, compared to the current 314Ah cell paired with a 5MWh energy storage system. The 688Ah cells are expected to begin deliveries by the end of 2025, with large-scale production planned for 2026. In just four years since its establishment, BTL has formed partnerships with numerous leading integrators and enterprises. In terms of #CommercialVehicle battery shipments, BTL achieved 3GWh in the first half of 2024, ranking among the top players. CRRC recognizes BTL’s innovative capabilities, stating, "Driven by the relentless pursuit of high-quality, high-safety, and high-return products, both parties will fully leverage their respective technological and resource advantages and create a new paradigm in the energy storage application market!”

BatteroTech Steals the Spotlight at SNEC, Unveils New Products for the First Time, and Secures Major Deals- Tsingshan- 2024-06-15 02:00 The 17th (2024) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition was successfully held in Shanghai. BatteroTech (BTL) was bustling with activity in the new products display area, attracting a constant stream of visitors for observation and discussion. At the exhibition, BTL showcased their classic products- the 72Ah, 280Ah, and 314Ah energy storage cells, introduced new products for C&I and grid energy storage applications. These new products include the 125kW/262kWh and the 20-foot 5.02MWh container energy storage system. In August 2023, BTL successfully connected a 7.2MWh energy storage station built in the Jiashan Economic Development Zone to the grid. This system fully utilized Zhejiang Province's "time-of-use electricity pricing" policy, achieving an annual electricity generation of 4.5 million kWh, reducing the electricity costs for the factory, and demonstrating significant economic benefits. As competition in the commercial and industrial energy storage market intensifies, to address multiple application scenarios in domestic and international markets such as peak shaving and valley filling, grid-connected, off-grid, microgrid, and virtual power plants, BTL has independently developed and launched a new generation of integrated commercial and industrial energy storage cabinets (BTL Liquid Cooling-100kW/215kWh, 100kW/232kWh, 125kW/262kWh in three configurations). These cabinets are smaller in size and offer higher returns, promising to become leaders in the industry. The 20-foot 5.02MWh container energy storage system product, making its debut at this exhibition, stood out among many energy storage solutions with its superior performance and innovative design. Using the latest 314Ah cells, it can store more energy within the same volume, enhancing the product's compactness and portability, offering customers a more efficient energy utilization solution. The system design has a maximum lifespan of 20 years, extending the customer’s profit period and increasing the stability of returns. In terms of energy efficiency, the 20-foot 5.02MWh container energy storage system also performs excellently. Its DC system side energy efficiency can reach up to 95%, meaning the product can output more energy during operation, reducing energy loss and waste. This efficient energy utilization not only lowers operating costs for customers but also aligns with the current societal pursuit of green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly practices.
