🌟 Reflecting on Our Successful GTIIT Meetup at the Technion! 🌟
Yesterday, the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology [GTIIT] hosted an inspiring event at the #Technion continuing our recent online campaign about the incredible study opportunities for Technion students at our Shantou campus. With close to 80 attendees, the event provided valuable insights into the GTIIT experience.
Highlights of the Event:
Avital Levinzon LLB LLM , Head of Marketing & Recruitment at GTIIT, welcomed all guests and participants, and introduced Prof. Dganit Danino , Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Head of #Biotechnology & Food Engineering at GTIIT.
✨Prof. Danino who started the session with opening remarks, and shared an overview of our campus, diverse programs, and the great opportunity offered to Technion students to study at the GTIIT campus in China.
✨Later, we had an In-Depth Presentation by Prof. Yigal Achmon, a faculty member at the BFE Department at GTIIT: Prof. Achmon introduced GTIIT’s offerings, environment, and community, setting the stage for the rest of the session.
✨Then, we had some experiences shared by Dr. Avishay Levy, a lecturer at the Chemical Engineering Department at GTIIT: Dr. Levy provided personal insights and detailed perspectives on life and study at GTIIT, and around.
✨After Dr. Levy , we head a testimonial by Ms. Sigal Hirsh, a Technion graduate who studied at GTIIT campus in 2019. Ms. Hirsh’s vivid recollections and encouragement resonated deeply with the audience.
✨Lastly we heard Mrs. Revital Cohen, GTIIT’s Coordinator of Community Affairs, who openely expressed her excitement for the renewed Study Abroad Program, sharing her experiences of moving to China with her family and joining the GTIIT community, engaging with Internatinal faculty and students every day.
💫The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session where students asked about GTIIT’s academic, social, and cultural aspects, after which Mrs. Ronit Mayer, Head of GTIIT Israel Office, summed up and invited guests to network over pizzas and drinks. The enthusiasm and curiosity from everyone present created a vibrant and promising atmosphere.
We were honored to have esteemed participants including Prof. Zvi Pinhas Bar-Yoseph, Head of #Mechanical #Engineering Department at GTIIT, Mrs. Pninit Aljadeff , wife of Prof. Eli Aljadeff, Head of the #Mathematics Department at GTIIT, Mrs. Hagar Lavi, Administrative Coordinator to Heads of GTIIT, Mrs. Maya Shpigelman, Assistant to Mathematics & Applied Mathematics Head of GTIIT Program, and Mrs. Jenny Leibovich, Assistant to Dean of Undergraduate Studies & Assistant to Heads of GTIIT Programs , each contributed to the event’s success.
