On September 8, 2024, Intuitive Fosun celebrated Family Day with a festive touch of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. Families and friends of Intuitive Fosun employees explored the new Intuitive Fosun headquarters, where they enjoyed fun games and handcraft activities, savored the taste of mooncakes in our staff canteen, and experienced the cutting-edge technology of the Da Vinci and Ion robotic systems through test drives. This event was a unique opportunity for our loved ones to immerse themselves in our work environment and truly grasp the essence of the products that we take pride in creating. Our heartfelt thanks go to every employee as well as their families and friends for joining us; your beaming smiles definitely made this day special. The results from ION shape-sensing robotic-assisted bronchoscopy (SS-RAB)’s first clinical trial conducted in China are now officially published on Journal of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology! In this prospective study, a total of 90 peripheral pulmonary nodules were biopsied from 90 subjects across 3 centers, with the median nodule size of only 19.4 mm. The overall 6 month follow-up diagnostic yield was 87.8% with a sensitivity for malignancy of 87.7%.

We are excited to announce our new headquarters officially opened. On June 12, 2024, the Opening Ceremony of the "Intuitive Fosun Headquarters Industrial Base" was successfully held in Shanghai Zhangjiang International Medical Park . The total investment of the base project is around 700 million yuan, which is also the largest integrated research and development, production and training base of Intuitive in the Asia-Pacific region.

We built Ion on the belief that collecting lung tissue samples for biopsy could be safe and simple, even when lung nodules are small and located in the periphery. Ion’s ultrathin, ultramaneuverable catheter allows clinicians to reach small lesions in all 18 segments of the lung with more reach, precision, and stability.
