Our latest research paper, titled “A Robust Short-Circuit Calculation Method for Islanded, Grid-Connected, and Utility Microgrids“, has been published in IEEE’s Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy ! Our paper introduces a robust method for quantifying the impact of short-circuit faults on microgrids. This method stands out by providing highly accurate short-circuit calculations across all possible microgrid topologies, whether they are islanded, grid-connected, or part of a larger utility grid. We tested this approach on a real-life microgrid at Case Western Reserve University, and the results highlight its effectiveness in handling even the most complex fault scenarios with ease.
